All of our AR500 steel targets are engineered for maximum durability and performance, making them ideal for rifle and pistol use alike.
Our ¼” AR500 steel targets are built for durability and performance, making them perfect for all rifles from .22 up to .17 HMR, as well as handguns up to .45 caliber.
Our ⅜” AR500 steel targets are perfectly suited for popular calibers such as .223, 5.56, 5.45x39, 7.62x39, and .308, as well as handguns up to .45 caliber. They can also withstand similar short-action cartridges with ease.
Our ½" AR500 steel targets are built to handle the toughest punishment, making them ideal for larger calibers including .30-06, 6.5mm, 7mm, .300 Win Mag, .338 Lapua, and even up to .50 BMG.
For rounds exceeding 2850 fps muzzle velocity, we recommend a minimum distance of 200 yards to ensure both safety and target longevity.
Every target is crafted from 100% American-made AR500 steel—melted, rolled, and cut in the USA. Steel certifications are available upon request, ensuring you know you’re getting the highest quality material. This premium steel is designed for high-volume use, giving you maximum longevity and reliability.
Each target is precision-cut on a CNC plasma machine using a coolant bath process. By cutting the steel while submerged in a rust-inhibiting liquid, the metal stays cooler, resists corrosion, and significantly reduces the heat-affected zone (HAZ). The result? Stronger, longer-lasting targets built to take repeated hits.
For added durability and maximum visibility, we powder coat every target. Standard colors are included, and custom colors are available upon request (additional fees may apply).

Pistols: Minimum 10 yards; magnum calibers—25 yards.

Rifles: Minimum 100 yards; high-velocity rounds (2800+ FPS)—200 yards.
All targets come with mounting holes for 1/2" hardware (Grade 8 recommended, Grade 5 acceptable). Hardware is sold separately, but our gongs pair perfectly with our Grab-N-Go quick stands and rugged Flip-N-Rip base with gong hanger kit.

Our manufacturing process is all done under one roof in Montoursville Pennsylvania using the best materials which have been 100% American Made. All of our steel has been 100% melted and rolled in American mills, so you know you're getting the absolute best quality.
WARRANTY
Precision Targets USA products are designed and built to provide many years of service under normal use. We stand behind our workmanship, quality and performance of our products. We want you to be 100% satisfied with your purchase, if not return your purchase within 7 days for a 100% refund.
AR500 targets are not indestructible.
Air Rifle, Small Bore Rifle (i.e. .22LR Rim-fire), Pistol (i.e. 9mm & 45ACP) and High Powered Rifle Targets are well suited for their intended purpose(s). Any use beyond their intended purpose will damage these targets voiding the warranty.
The 3/8in. thick AR500 targets are rated to 3200 fps at 100yards. Faster speeds and shorter distances will damage these targets voiding the warranty.
Targets will receive shot marks (pitting) using high powered rounds and many shots in the same location will ultimately pit the surface. These are not manufacturing or steel quality defects and are not covered by the warranty.
Targets are not intended for use with steel core, green tip, armor piercing and other hardened ammunition and are not covered by the warranty. Targets and other target components with broken welds under normal use will be replaced free of charge including shipping.
Every target component is not intended to be shot, such as target stands. These are covered for workmanship only. Please contact us before returning any item. We will do everything we can to provide you with a convenient and satisfactory service. Please refer to our Returns and Shipping policies before returning an item.

WARNINGS
Always use proper eye and ear protection. Please use extreme caution when shooting targets, a 20 degree downward angle is reccommended to direct the bullet splash to towards the ground.
Recommended shooting distances from targets varies, but should be at least 10 yards for pistols and 100 yards for rifles.
Please Note - for Rounds over 2800fps, we recommend a 200 yard minimum in order to avoid pitting or damage to your target.
